Domestic violence… family violence… intimate violence… dating violence… whatever the name, the effects are the same. At Safe Journey we are committed to breaking the cycles of violence that permeate our homes, intimate relationships and society.
Escaping an abusive relationship is one of the hardest things a victim will ever do.
Located in a secure, suburban and handicapped accessible location, Safe Journey is committed to helping victims move from surviving to thriving after an abusive relationship. We welcome clients from the suburbs, city and rural communities.
Staying out of an abusive relationship permanently takes hope, heart & healing.
Since 1998, Safe Journey has provided victims of domestic violence with resources and support to heal and rebuild their lives. Our holistic approach includes safety planning, individual and group counseling, parenting support, financial planning, court advocacy and legal referrals, resettlement assistance, education and career counseling, mentors and more.
Educating teens and the community-at-large about the realities of intimate violence is our passion.
Empowering survivors to live fully and free of abuse and violence is our foundation, while raising awareness of the cycle of violence in teens and young adults will help us break the cycle in future generations.
Safe Journey is dedicated to educating young people, their parents, educators and faith-based organizations about the dynamics of healthy relationships, how to identify danger signs in dating relationships, and what to do if a relationship turns abusive or violent.
At Safe Journey we believe that everyone deserves to and can live safely -- free from physical, emotional, sexual, verbal, financial, or any other type of abuse.
