Our Mission
To support today’s survivors of domestic violence as
they transition to lives free from abuse and to prevent domestic violence in future generations
through outreach and education.
Safe Journey is a non-residential resource and support center for women and children rebuilding their lives after domestic abuse and violence. We are located in Fairport, NY, an eastern suburb of Rochester.
Since opening in 1998, we have served over 1,000 women. Our services include: safety planning, individual counseling, community resource coordination, resettlement support, lifeskills training, community and teen violence/abuse prevention education, and more.
As an outreach ministry of the Ecumenical Ministries of Perinton, Inc., we are motivated by faith to serve and we welcome women and children of all faiths, race, sexual orientation and creed. We do not prosthetize in service delivery.
